Oohh...Ooohh.. I'm first up!!! How exciting. I've just finished a whole basket of ironing and needed a little break so I thought I'd pop on over. Now back to business.... perhaps it's all the ironing i've just done, but it looks like a HUGE eye... but from what movie. mmmmmm... I'll take another look and be back soon... HOPEFULLY.

I have no idea......

Carol Dunstan said...

oh yay... glad I'm not the only night owl! I've got no idea what this is... there's a lot in it though, very detailed pic

Carol Dunstan said...

actually, I think there is a door or two involved... and I see some gorgeous leafy pattern on the left... but still no idea what movie!

Sarah-Jane Kalé said...

Ok.. I've just sat down with my Milo and a Caramello Koala... MMMM YUMMMMM... and am going to have a stab at this... Sooo please don't laugh at my attempts... well ok you can laugh. I'm going for "The Chronicles of Narnia...The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe.

xx

Carol Dunstan said...

oooh! I'd love it if it was that! It's not the wardrobe doors but who knows what else it could be.

If it is Narnia, then I have something else to bug the kids with... I like to freak them out by saying a la "the Macreedy" "NO touching the historical artifacts" LOL

Carol Dunstan said...

I'm having a glass of mead, too late for chocolate for me. Not sure it will help the powers of deduction though!

If it is Narnia that first peek will be something to do with the professors house I think. I am convinced that pattern on the left is acanthus leaf which would fit, but I don't have any memory of it being in his house

Libby Hickson said...

I have no idea what it is, but I'd also love it if it were Narnia. I think I a lion stamp, a witch stamp AND a wardrobe stamp! :-)

I'm thinking....Robocop. I know really odd, but doesn't the middle thing look large and metal? It has been an odd morning.

cool, but I have no idea as to what the other movie challenge is! Maybe a movie based during the Classical period!

Chalk up another post with a different user for me... Sorry I didn't change my profile from last night.. I was typing a b-day message on our family blog for my DD's B-day..

Today is my little Abbie's 11th b-day.. She is a girl after my own heart.. She asked for a sewing machine for her b-day... We both are actually getting the Janome sew-easy for our b-day...

Today it's snowing!!! So The cute girlie decided to wear big snowflakes for earrings... She said because it's just wrong for it to snow in April...he,he

Keep tuned.. I will post a new pic in a few minutes..

Hi Guys!! Just checking in from work!! Happy Birthday darling Abbie!! Hope your special day is awesome!!! You two girlies are sooo cute!!!

And that is an awesome sneak peek... it reminds me of the Marshmellow man from Ghostbusters... hmmm... speaking of marshmellows, I am suddenly very hungry for a snack :)

can't wait to get home from work and see all your guesses!!!

love to all!!
Sankari :)

Brooke S said...

Yummm! Great idea for a movie girlie.. I will have to remember that one. I will go eat a "peep" for you.

O.k. I just ran home in what felt like a blizzard... Brrrrr. no more show..

Is it snowing up at your house Shari? Johnson's mill was just on good day Utah.. They made their YUMMY stuffed French toast.. If anyone want's the recipe it's on abc4.com I have had it.. I think that's what I am getting for my birthday breakfast this Sunday :)

Can you tell I am hungry..

How about "CHOCOLATE" wink,wink...

Brooke it is snowing up here, but its not too bad. Not that I ever love snow or want it to snow. Right now its just blowing a little around and there is some on the ground. We were suppose to head to St. George this week for another mountain Bike race, but we decided not to deal with the weather driving. Hey Mark and I have had some talks about moving back out that way! Now that they will have a new road to get out there. I would love to be close by again!!!! I did Charlie and the chocolate factory challenge even though I'm just a tad bit late. lol

Erica said...

Brooke S. #1, you made my day. Thanks for the compliment to my guess. I mean we did have James Bond last week, so what about another beat-em up shoot-em up movie. Then I recommend Die Hard. I would love to make a card with the words "Yippee Kay-he..." Sorry, I digress. Again, very intersting day.
I am eatting chinese food right now, but chocolate sounds yummy. You can keep the peeps though.
Hope Abbie has wonderful birthday. I love the snow earrings. Gotta love a girl with a sense of humor.

Okay, after I saw Brooke's "How about "CHOCOLATE" wink,wink..." comment, I have to guess Like Water for Chocolate as my guess this week.

Amy, Ottawa, Canada said...

Dunno about the first hint, but maybe "Rear Window" Alfred Hitchcock, 1954 Jimmy Stewart & Grace Kelly ? The second Sneak Peak reminds me a bit of the apartment building out his back window.
Man, now I'm in a Hitchcock movie night mood!

Amy, Ottawa, Canada said...

Laura, right you are ... hmmm chocolate, okay how 'bout 'Chocolat' (Juliette Binoche & Johnny Depp, 2000). Those could be French Buildings ...

Carol Dunstan said...

I was going to suggest Chocolat too... more edible Johnny Depp for Sankari ;-)

Brooke S said...

Sankari is always hungry for Jonny that is true..(love ya girl)...

You all give me such great movie ideas. :)

We just ate a birthday lunch at a local Mexican restaurant... Yummo!

Maybe I will take a bite of "chocolate" and then share a sneak with you all. Most will do anything for chocolate.. I know there are a few out there that don't care for chocolate CRAZY! I will work for chocolate.

Hugs
Brooke

Carol Dunstan said...

ok, here's one a little from left field for the chocolate references... but how about Forrest Gump?

Sam said...

First thing I thought when I saw the second peek was: Vantage Point. Looks like that square they blew up. I didn't think much of anything when I saw the first one. SIGH (this is not unusual for me ;-).

Actually the more I look at the wallpaper and the building...I keep thinking of Marie Antoinette...but the second peek must be of a room in the castle that they are renovating because it doesn't look to scmick!

:-)
Sam.

Carol Dunstan said...

so Sam, you think Brooke is trying to misguide us with her "chocolate" references (although if it is Marie Antoinette I spose there's not much distance between chocolate and "let them eat cake"). I guess if the girls were to pick a easter-ish movie it'd be next weekend (Peter Cottontail? Easter Parade? Charlie Brown easter?)

Ann said...

Hey, Brooke, happy birthday to Abbie! It's my birthday, too! :D

Jack Fussell said...

Looks like something like Sense and Sensibility, but I really have no clue! I won't be able to play along this week because we are in Spain! Yeah! I'll catch up with you girlies next week!

Chat Noir said...

So many guesses already... Now I'm thinking, there's a bit of polished wood, some architectural detail, old buildings. Who knows..... (and Happy Birthday Abbie... love a girl who's into earrings!!).....maybe Pride & Prejudice?

Or maybe I need more sleep, and a polishing cloth for my specs. Ali, where are you?

Carol Dunstan said...

well it won't be Pride & Prejudice, that was the very first challenge!

I really don't know what to think any more... it does have an old look to it but that doesn't necessarily mean it's an old movie or set a long time ago

zukesgirl said...

I am going to guess "Remains of the Day" cause it looks like a period piece -- or should I say elegant house piece. And the shot through the window reminds me of the estate house.

Ali B said...

I'm here Carolann! Running a 'bit' slow this morning as it's the first official day of school holidays....
The first peek so reminds me of wesley snipes in a metal helmet...very funny I know but can't get it out of my head. Also think that with the 2 peeks it may be a movie where an army comes into a town - where all the buildings are beautiful.....maybe 'Life is Beautiful' ...althoughn wesley snipes is not in that heh heh...perhaps the helmet in the first one is too futuristic??
I am making no sense and had better stop now!

Anita said...

I think its Little Princess with shirley temple. I don't know how it reminds me of it.

Oh Carol -- that was sooooo wrong to mention Johnny's edibleness!!! I would pick him any day over chocolate.... Oh WAIT!!! What if there was a chocolate Johnny Depp!!! OMG!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!

and on that note... I am off to scour for the Easter chocolate that I had my DH hide from me....!

Happy Bday to our Ann from Creative Antics and also hope that Abbie had an awesome day!!! LOVE to all!!!

xoxo S.

Sankari, I think you've just tapped into a new market--your favorite celebrities, now in chocolate! Mmm...Daniel Craig in chocolate--YUM-MY!!!!

Carol Dunstan said...

you know that scene in POTC where Will and Jack are sword fighting in the blacksmiths, and Will gets covered in ash (if I recall correctly)... they actually used cocoa powder for the ash...

I knew you'd appreciate my comment Sankari ;)

the more I look at it the more that second pic looks like something I have seen but I have NO idea what

Chat Noir said...

Thanks Carol for reminding me that I'm in holiday mode....it was that Sense & Sensibility thought from before..... Still sticking to period things.... Oscar & Lucinda?

Don't be too hard on yourself Ali... just keep thinking of the next two weeks!!

Sankari W. said...

Still sitting here fantasizing about an edible chocolate Johnny Depp... thanks Carol! Now I have a plastered smile on my face and when my dear husband asked me why I was smiling... all I could do was point to your comment :) Luckily he totalllly understands.... actually, now that I think about it... I don't know if he totally understands or just doesn't really analyze it... hmmm... I think I have Johnny Depped/numbed him out...

Okay ... enough of my ramblings... I am off to work on this card for tomorrow... please tell me, why oh why do I always leave everything till the last moment...

maybe its the excitement - the thrill - the endless amount of choclate that I can eat at night and not feel accountable for because its in the name of creativity!

Alright ladies - I am signin off for the night (Ha!) see you in the mornin' !!!

Carol Dunstan said...

oh, I know what it is - Return of the Grill!

Unknown said...

I'm going to guess "The Sting" with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. #1 picture could be from the Carousel/back room where Robert met Paul for the first time. #2 could be from the hotel room where Paul watched Robert go in to the cafe'? My best guess ... lots of fun!

Ali B said...

Looks like a close up of a monitor/tv screen..you know where everything pixelates? Brooke and Sankari have me stumped this week...although it seems very familiar and I am probably going to kick myself! I like your guess Carol!! I'm going with that..heh heh

Brooke S said...

Ya the Grill!!!! I actually ate a Panini for dinner tonight. How ironic.

Just finished my card... And I didn't even get rewarded with CHOCOLATE! I did get the sweet reward of my DH sitting next to me in the craft room while I finished the card...

Until Tomorrow.
Good Night Hugs
Brooke

All I Have to say - is that the last sneak peek picture is my absolute FAVORITE!!!! I am in love with everything about this picture - esp. the person wearing it... and growing up...I always wanted to be like this person and was wowed when I first saw this part of the movie... sigh!!! Okay - back to finishing stuff up!!

Libby Hickson said...

Hmmm Sankari that is a very intriguing comment!! Can't wait for the reveal!

Ali B said...

Am staying up late to wait for the reveal...no pressure ladies! Can't WAIT to see what it is ;)
