Yes Libby, you've got me curious, and your cards and everyone else's have inspired me to ONE DAY give it a shot myself. Who knows, maybe this week...

Welcome Monica!! Way to jump right it! Morning Libby!

Jump right in... Sorry I am still so sleepy. O totally stayed up until 2:30 a.m.

Well, someone else has got to be better at these things than me cause that doesn't look like much! LOL! What's the name of that baseball movie... the one where they say, "Build it and they will come??" That's my guess!

Erica said...

I must give my obligatory Twilight idea. It looks like the baseball scene in the meadow when Alice is pitching. I am hoping if I guess it enough that maybe one week I will be right. The movie is finally on DVD!
I love playing along. I was so happy to finally make a card this week. I will see you when more clues pop up.

Libby Hickson said...

LOL - Field of Dreams! :-)

Laura E. said...

Hmmm...a baseball movie is possible! There aren't a lot of movies with shots of that angle of a person...I like the Field of Dreams idea! I love that movie and would love an excuse to watch it again!

Abby said...

The Legend of Bagger Vance? Or something golfy, perhaps.

Too me it looks like a lady sitting with her legs crossed! IDK what it is but it migh thelp someone else! LOL!!

YA Erica I love that you said "Twlight" I look forward to reading it every week.... Not we just need Carol's "Harry Potter" Love ya Carol...

I will try to sneak in one more photo before I hit the road for our big dance competition week-end... My card is so random.. It's connected to something a titch different that the movie.. So get your thinkin' caps on. Let get down and inky...

Hugs
Brooke

I am a bit of a Twilight addict and since I have had a bad week, I am so tempted to go home and curl up with the movie for the bazillionth time.
The one week that it really is Twilight will be the week I don't guess. Just watch.
Well there was some blue sky in the second photo, so now I am lost.
I like the baseball ideas though. Maybe Field of Dreams.

Erica said...

Wait, maybe she just played with the coloring because that looks like when Alice says "It's time." Maybe I just need a 12 step program to get over this obsession! :)

Awesome pics Brooke!! Have fun this weekend (Brooke's daughter is in a dance competition! we have our fingers crossed - not that she needs it because she will be awesome!)

Love the guesses - for those who have read the book and seen the movie twilight - which one do you like better???

and also a big welcome to Monica and all our new guessers! We love reading your guesses!!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone! :)

The second picture reminded me of the "Son of Man" painting (the guy in the bowler hat) from Thomas Crown Affair -- but in comparing the actual painting, I don't think that's it -- the sky has darker clouds in the painting, though it's VERY close.

Libby Hickson said...

That's funny Monica, I thought the same thing when I saw that photo!!

Sam said...

WOW, I have no idea. The first picture looks like it is the side of a person and the arm, just above the elbow...they seem to be wearing a tightish fitting black something (maybe baseball shirt ;-), and are standing in an open green field...well, that's my take.

The second pic...the first thing I thought of was that it was the top of a top hat, taken from down below and looking up, with the sky in the background...which made me think of Charlie and the Choc Factory...but that's impossible!!!!

I keep thinking period piece...but I don't know which one, sorry.

WRT Twilight I LOVE both the movie and book and am waiting here patiently for the DVD to come here (while I chew a hole in our couch).

I saw the movie before I read the books....and the cinematography is beautiful IMO. That scene up the tree with the sound in the background....sigh....eye bliss!

I also have the Score and Soundtrack, and love those too...I have them mixed in with my favourites file in my IPOD so I get them randomly all through the day...YEAH!

My favourite song is Super Massive Blackhole from the baseball game...I keep seeing Emmett running up the tree to catch the ball......and hearing 'my monkey man'.

Ok...so I'm beyond help.

Have a great day!
Sam.

good morning everyone! ;-) I have no idea yet... and I can't even have a cup of tea because we are completely out of milk (Glenn doesn't know sacrifice I made just so he didn't have to go to the shops on the way home last night). But something I did just find out is that they are making a live-action movie of "Where the Wild Things Are"!

Unfortunately it doesn't look anything like a HP movie I don't think, nor Ever After which is my other regular guess LOL

And I'm not so patiently waiting for Twilight to come out here too. And least I have Moonlight to tide me over now :-)

Woowie! 100 followers! People know a good thing when they see it.

Okay, guesses, um looks to me like somebody wearing jeans on a beach, uh "Dr. Know" ... well I'm probably just saying that because we're having a James Bond movie night with the neighbours. Yes, Martini's will be served, shaken not stirred.

Exhausted from a field trip, Amy. :)

Sam, thanks for making me feel normal! I was one of the crazy people that was in line at midnight last Friday night to buy the DVD. I read the whole series before seeing the movie. I love them both, but the book is by far better. Stephenie Meyer just put so much detail that they couldn't fit into a 2 hour movie.

Sam said...

Hi Erica! LOL at your comment about normalcy. I doubt anywhere in Canberra will open at midnight to release the DVD. Maybe in Sydney (400 km north)...but I draw the line at that ;-).

The books are wonderful. I have such clear pictures in my head thanks to Stephenie's wonderful storytelling abilities...and the pictures are very important to me....I'm a pictures person, totally.

I do like that having seen the movie first I had some of the scenery put in place for me (yah for Catherine Hardwicke), and I used that setting to 'see' the rest of the series (which I sat down and read over four days last December). I've seen the movie again since then. I wanted my fill of the big screen experience...plus to pick up some extra details...like Stephenie's cameo, which I'd missed first go round (not knowing anything at all about the series or its author when I went to see the movie for the first time).

I have been to Tuscany (wish I knew how to insert a thousand floating love heart smileys right here) so I had some similar hill towns to Volterra to use to visualise that!

Still no closer to this week's CSCC....will ponder while I tidy up here.

Carol have you seen the trailer for Where The Wild Things Are? It looks awesome!!!

Amy, Ottawa, Canada said...

Okay, what about "the Sting" (1973) ... didn't Robert Redford wear a boller hat in that one?
BTW Thanks, Carol for pointing out Where the Wild T.A ... I think I could recite that one by heart, although DH & I pretty much the fahrenheit 451 of kids books.

Erica said...

Guys, I am so in Twilight mood that you could honestly show me a picture of Mel Gibson and I would guess Twilight. :) Even though, it does look like her 1956 Chevy truck. Bella has skinny legs.

My friend called to see if I wanted to hang out tonight. She originally told me about Twilight when I was at her house scrapbooking and I completely dismissed the idea of ever reading the book. Wow I was an idiot. We are both too tired to do much, so now we are going to watch the movie tonight. Maybe that will help the addiction and I won't continue to spout off about Twilight. Thank you all for listening. That is why I love this group.

OK, when Brooke says "This challenge will make my dad proud.... But don't let that fool you..." makes you think it is a guy movie but April fools means it is really a chick flick! So I am going to guess Fried Green Tomatoes!

Sankari W. said...

Have Fun Erica!!!! Sounds awesome!!

LoVE all these guesses!!! Can't wait to see WTWTA... That book brings back so much of my childhood memories...!

How about a last sneak peek....???

Libby Hickson said...

Sankari you TEASE - where's the sneak peek? :-)

Ali B said...

Hello ladies and gentleman! My first impression was 'Finding Neverland' with Johnny Depp (yummy!!)as James Barrie and the lovely Kate Winslet. Congrats on the 25th challenge and 100 followers.

Ali B said...

Or it could be 'Atonement'??? My mind is working overtime!!

Laura E. said...

I'm still thinking a baseball movie and I'm still stuck on Field of Dreams. I think the second photo is just the brim of a baseball hat, and the last one looks like clothing hanging in a locker room to me. Maybe it's A League of Their Own so it is more a girlie movie!

Sankari W. said...

Just posted the last sneak peek ladies!!

LOVE these guesses...

Ali B said...

'Remains of the Day' is probably soooo wrong but Anthony Hopkins' name keeps jumping into my mind...I am sooo looking forward to being put out of my misery Sankari and Brooke! Bring on the reveal :)

Sankari W. said...

Ali - you are tooooo cute!!!

Carol Dunstan said...

oh that'd be funny if it was Finding Neverland - two Depp/Highmore movies in a row (I can't remember whether it was Neverland or Charlie that was done first). I'm still no closer to any answer, I reckon Bagger Vance is a good guess though... the first shot would have the green in the background! However that last shot also makes me think of Get Smart but I don't think the clothing is right

Ali B said...

Chat noir's internet is misbehaving...so am posting her guess...The Avengers! Steed had that bowler hat and looked so suave. Hurry up with the reveal Sankari!!! Am about to drive my family demented by asking them what they think it is...and they're NO help!!lol

Chat Noir said...

Miaoooowww....... finally those men I live with all closed down assorted computers (to watch the Grand Prix warm up laps or whatever) and guess what. MY computer works again!!

Thanks for posting my guess Ali.... I was going down the James Bond path til someone earlier mentioned the bowler hat and for me there is only ONE bowler hat wearer!! The inimitable John Steed.

After all this its probably a saucepan!! LOL

Roll on reveal.........
