Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #2

YAY! Welcome everyone to our second challenge, where we are thrilled and excited to present to present to you: Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Audrey Hepburn is such a legend and an icon and we are so excited to do this cinema challenge honoring her and her role as Holly Golightly in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's, which is originally a novel by Truman Capote. She was nominated for an Oscar in the category: Best Actress in a Leading Role in 1962 for this role and the movie went on to win 2 Oscars. According to Wikipedia: "Audrey Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naive, eccentric socialite is generally considered to be the actress's most memorable and identifiable role." (you can read the rest here).

There was so much to inspire us from this movie but we both drew inspiration from Audrey's dress from the opening scene, where she emerges from a taxi and strolls to the window at Tiffany's & Co. eating a pastry - isn't this dress just gorgeous! Look at all the lines and curves and pearls and diamonds! Love this opening scene!

How could we not be inspired by all of these elements together?
Here are our cards and you can find details of those cards on our blogs.

Here is Brooke's Cinema Saturday Inspiration card:

You can find more details on Brooke's Blog (click HERE)

Here are Sankari's Cinema Saturday Inspiration Cards:

All details can be found on Sankari's blog (click HERE)

So are you ready to play?!!!  Create a card, layout, altered project anything and link back to this post anytime from now until Thursday at 9pm PST. Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery. If you are uploading to Splitcoast please use the keyword CSCC#2 (all one word). We can't wait to see what you have created!!!

And now we would like to present a special award that we are calling THE AUDREY for those submissions that wowed us from last week.  We wanted to present something kind of like an Oscar, but instead we created our own and we are calling her the Audrey :)

We were really blown away by the creativity and beauty of all the submissions from last week's Pride & Prejudice Cinema Saturday pick and had a hard time choosing from amongst all the entries.
Two creations that caught our eye was thi
s beautiful textured card created by Nellie and this beautiful gratitude journal created by
Sherri. We hope ladies, that you will proudly display The Audrey on your blog sidebar with a
link to Cinema Saturday. Thank you so much for playing along in our first challenge!!!

Creating this challenge site and being able to meet such amazingly beautiful artists has just been fantastic and we are excited for all the infinite creative possibilities with these cinema challenges :)

I just finished Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightley. It was difficult for me to watch because I kept thinking, "Oh hey, they left a part out." or "That's different from the book." I am returning this movie today and should be getting the Colin Firth version any day now. I'm excited!
