The Audrey Award, Cinema Inspirations and Sneak Peeks

Good Morning/Afternoon Everyone!!

First of all - we just wanted to thank everyone for your amazingly sweeeet comments and all of your support and encouragement and we are so happy that you like to play along with us - that is really the main reason that love to do this challenge - to be with all of you!!! We just absolutely loved all of your creations this week from the movie: A Night at the Museum! What awesome creations!!! Check out these Cinema Saturday Inspired Creations below:

It was so much fun to read where their inspiration came from and how they created their gorgeous creations. We just love reading about what part of the movie inspired you - and how you create a card based on that inspiration!!!

One card that caught our eye - was Nancy's beautiful "Dum-Dum/Gum-Gum" creation - we are still floored that you made the whole thing!!! How awesome - and what a great way to include the little miniature part of the challenge with the little piece of gum! Too Cute!! Nancy, we hope you will join us next week as our guest designer!!!

I can't believe I'm the first comment! Congrats Nancy!

Hmm, my first thought about this first sneak peak is it looks very grey (but then I have just got up so maybe my eyes aren't working properly yet), maybe from a black & white film? I have been wondering if they ladies know it is Australia Day this week and would pick a movie for that... but I also hadn't thought of a movie that old so I will have to put my thinking cap on.

It's supposed to be getting up to 40 degrees here today (which is about 100F from what I understand). It's 5am and the house was so hot I couldn't sleep. So the aircon is on again already!

Wow, it looks like curly hair to me. I'll have to say. . . The Shaggy Dog.

Thanks so much ladies! At the risk of sounding cheesy, I really owe this to my mom -I was ready to toss the project, and she encouraged me to continue. Thanks mom!!
So on to the guess -I was thinking hair too. James Dean's perhaps? I dunno...

the hair looks a bit messy for Mr Dean (who's bday is coming up... I have a nephe born the same day). A thought has occured to me that Brooke might be trying to lead us astray (like she would do that!) with a b&w pic for a modern movie... just to make it harder! I still have no real guesses

Nancy K said...

Yeah, I did think about that after I mentioned his name...Hmmm...Brooke can be quite sneaky with the peeks. It may just be someone with pasty skin and very grey hair!

Let me post again as I had to many typos!!:)

A big congrats to Nancy on your win!! Love what you did with your design...soooooo very creative and FUN!!:)

Hmmm..ok this one is not bringing anything up with me. Looks like a beard of an old man?? I guess I need to research movies with old guys..nothing is popping into my head! I will hold off guessing until I get another peek.

Nancy, I like Pasty skin, but not with grey hair...Hmmm..ok got a little side tracked with that vision!!

we have colour!

That second pic isn't helping me at all though! Makes me think of someone waiting at a train station platform though...

Ack..
Under the Tuscan Sun?? Walk in the Clouds?? Not sure how the old beard fits into those tho!!?

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is my guess!

Nancy K said...

Oooh that does look like Mr Magorium hair! I was thinking Catch me if you Can...

ok, I thought of this movie while I was out doing the groceries... though I was trying to get off the "Australia Day" track. But that last pic has me thinking it is "Australia" with Nicole Kidman and Hugh "mmmmmmmm" Jackman

My final guess is going to be Legends of the Fall. I am thinking the first is the Old fathers hair..or furry coat he wore. The rope is from the many horse scenes..and suitcase,is till a puzzle to me! I look forward to seeing what the movie is!

Thanks again to Brooke and Sankari for great peeks!!

Nancy K said...

I'm pretty sure that last pic is a hat...just not sure who is wearing it...

Nancy K said...

...bet Hugh Jackman would look great in that hat! :)

Carol Dunstan said...

I agree Nancy, it's thin rope/twine around a hat (akubra if I am right).

Hugh Jackman looks good in anything (and probably nothing!)! Hmm, actually, some of those Boy From Oz outfits were a bit crazy... but this is Hugh we are talking about, he makes a bad outfit look good!

I'm taking a guess the next movie challenge is 'Desperately Seeking Susan'. Love this 80's movie. See you next week.
