Sneak Peek Friday#17

Sneak Peek #1

Sneak Peek #2

Ok girls... This first sneak peek is in honor of Carol... She was hoping for this kind of non-descript picture so here you go girl :) Love ya Carol.
We wanted to thank a few new members of our Cinema saturday family for bringing us traffic.. We have a few new players that have joined our challenges, and we wanted to give a heart felt thanks to all who are sharing our challenge with others. We love having a big family...
I'm not sure how many sneak peeks I will be posting tomorrow.. Our oldest baby boy is turning "16" today and we are going to be spoiling him with our presence ALL DAY LONG... Lucky boy!!
Have fun guessing I can't to read all you comments..
Hugs
Brooke
Sunny Sankari is off on a hoilday with her wonderful family.. She may join in and surprise us with a few comments you never know...

Happy birthday to your son! If one of those amazing guessers gets it from this first photo I'm going to be even more stunned than I am every other week! LOL!

1) Happy Sweet 16 ... have you had to remortgage the house to feed a 16 year old growing boy? I was the youngest sister to 3 older brothers & I just remember my mum could never make enough food for them.

2) hmmm movie, I'm thinking Twister, with Helen Hunt & oh what's his face Paxton?

Sankari W. said...

hey guys!! just checking in! Happy sweet 16 to your big guy Brooke!!! HOpe he has a fantastic day!!

And as for tomorrow - I would just like to quickly say - that we have 2 very special ladies as our guest designers and also a very special prize involved!

can't wait to see what other sneak peeks Brooke might have and also what Ms. Carol might be guessing! and where is Sam/antha? :)

Love and hugs to all !
Sankari :)

Anthonette said...

It looks like a tornado type of sky. But knowing Brooke and Sankari, it's going to be a classic movie. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Lawrence of Arabia....sand...dust storm...yes, that's my final answer!

Ann said...

Amy, I was thinking Twister, too. But Anthonette now has me thinking dust storm--what about one of the Indiana Jones movies? I believe Raiders was partially set in Egypt--could be a desert sand storm???

Tethered2Home said...

Oh ya ya, maybe Ann, hmm, or the Mummy when he tries to swallow up that plane? I like Brendan Fraser ... good Canadian boy ;)

Carol Dunstan said...

well, sunset was my first thought... which makes me think of a romantic movie, but something with big open spaces. But then I am also thinking "Free Willy" (the pic makes me think of the pic on the case, but I can't be bothered getting up and searching for it in the cupboard), so not necessarily romantic...

Diana Gibbs said...

I think Horton Hears a Who!
What?
No, I said Who!

Carol Dunstan said...

and you know... I don't think that is very non-descript for a cloud! It has colour (which could be doctored), it's got some quirkly little shape over on the left...

Jules said...

hmmm....my first thought was Twister as well, but it does look a bit dusty!

Happy Birthday to your 16 son!!!
You sure don't look like you could have kids that old!!!

Brooke S said...

YA!!! love all your guesses. Sankari!! So glad to see you.. Hope you are having fun...

Thanks for all the B-day wishes...I will pass them on..
Are you all ready for another peek?

Ann said...

Brooke, do you even have to ask? Bring on another sneak peek!!! ;)

Carol Dunstan said...

ok, I don't think that second peek fits with anything we have said so far... it makes me think of My Gril though... but not sure if that fits with the first peek! LOL

Kim Marie said...

Storm chasers?

The second sneak peek made it harder!! No fair!!

My son's b'day is today too! And he's 23 :) Happy happy *birthing* day to you, too!!

Kim Marie

Brooke S said...

I have to do a little decorating for the b-day boy so make a few guesses and I will post another one in a while.. Carol... My Gril staring the Panini man (he,he) If it was My Girl that's a pretty fair guess...

Ann you little stinker... You will just have to wait "my little pretty"

Hugs
Brooke

Brooke S said...

Happy Birthday to Kim Marie's 23 year old baby :)

Carol Dunstan said...

that second pic has me thinking of the Two Towers, but I don't think you'd do that so soon after Fellowship (or maybe you would to throw us all off!)

Arielle H Gordon said...

My guess is "Places in the Heart".

Sam said...

My first thought was Twister...and it still is after the second pic! The second pic reminds me of the garden where the Mum? has all the wind chimes. I'm prolly wrong..but I'm gonna go get it and watch it anyway!

Thanks for the inspiration girls :-)
Sam.

Carol Dunstan said...

hmm, I didn't think the mum's garden was that "treeish", but then I haven't seen it in years and all I really remember is "cow" and them using Tori Amos' "Talula"...

Sankari W. said...

How could we do Two Towers without you Carol???!!! and Happy B-da to Kim Marie's son too!!!

Brooke - hope your big man is having a great day!!!

We are off to the beach :) Can't wait to see all the comments when we get back!! LOVE you all!!!

Ann said...

Good grief! Sankari wasn't kidding when she said the next peek would just be pictures of the sky! Heehee!

Libby Hickson said...

Ok I'm guessing Shawshank Redemption - it's what I thought of when I saw the 2nd picture - the field where Morgan Freeman goes to find that box - but the first one doesn't really fit and I stink at guessing these!! LOL!

Jennie said...

uuumm, I am thinking Places in the Heart with Sally Field...great movie. The clouds in the first hint made me think of that...Don't think Raintree County had a tornado, or did it?

Christy Lynn said...

My money is on Princess Bride. They have some matte paintings in the background in some parts of the movie (especially when they're sailing over Florin Channel with the Shrieking Eels) and the sky was kind of that color. But something about that second pic made me say Princess Bride *immediately*. Guess we'll see if I'm right...

I like to check out the sneak peeks and the movies chosen but so far I haven't actually made a card for this challenge...guess I'm just a stalker so far!

Sankari W. said...

we love all our stalkers - please feel free to come forth and leave a comment - it is so great to be able to meet you all!!

a big HI to Christy Lynn and all our followers, stalkers, players, guessers and screenplay writers (i am still waiting to see the screenplay of the panini grill!! - i will never look at Casablanca the same again! LOL!!)

Erin said...

I'm with Christy Lynn... It's Princess Bride.

Carol Dunstan said...

ooh, I'd love it if it was Princess Bride! We've got that (and I was just using it in a 6 degrees explaination with my daughters and they needed reminding of a few things) :D ~*bounces*~

Rebecca Ednie said...

before I read any of your comments, twister was my first thought too. That would be BILL Paxton. How to make a twister themed card? Perhaps the required element will be water or debris?!?! Hehe LOL could be twisted paper of ribbon. Course, that is, if it is twister. I'll be surprised if I'm right. I am never right about this sort of thing.

Sam said...

If it were Princess Bride I'd be in luck...of the approx. five non-child oriented movies that we actually own...Princess Bride is one. HOWEVER, it is on a VHS tape...and goodness only knows if we actually have something here that will play it! ROLLING EYES IN EXASPERATION!

Still gonna go get twister too tho! Love Helen Hunt, and Bill Paxton is not too bad either IMO (is that snorting I hear from various readers?). ;-).

Sam.

Sam said...

Can I also just throw another film into the mix: Out of Africa. I suspect that neither of the clips has anything to do with it..but I'd love to watch it soon...so maybe I can WILL it to be the movie ;-).

SIGH, I love Robbie Red!

Sam.

Sharon said...

Could we still be doing the Wizard of Oz...you know the twister that takes Dorothy on her flight to Oz!

Jen Jefferson said...

Hmmm, I hate to go off of other's creative thinking, but I'm in an allergy induced haze, so I'm going to go with The Princess Bride.

Amy, Ottawa, Canada said...

Okay, with those trees, I take back the "Mummy" comment & back to Twister again, but still not sure.
I just realized I keep logging in under different names ... can you tell I'm logging in from different locations LOL, on the go.

Ann said...

Wooo, Sam, VHS tape--going old school, huh? ;)

Anita said...

I looked back at what movies you guys suggested, I definetly think its Princess Bride. It also could be South Pacific or Casablanca.

Libby Hickson said...

Ok just to be silly - anyone have a little one as obsessed with Thomas as I do?? We were watching it earlier - in the Engine Roll Call song ('they're 2 they're 4 they're 6 they're 8 shunting trucks and hauling freight...) (ha! now it's stuck in YOUR head too!) there's a scene of the engines in the sheds with a very orange cloudy sky - and then there's lots of scenes of blue sky, trees and clouds - soooo my new guess is Thomas & Friends - The Great Discovery! :-) Do you do films that went straight to DVD? hee hee

My fingers are completely crossed that you amazing guessers are correct about The Princess Bride - I looooove that movie, it would be so much fun (so hint hint for future if it's NOT this week! LOL!). Can't wait for the reveal tomorrow...!

Ann said...

Libby, I am sitting out this week if it's Thomas & Friends! I don't have kids, and I don't think I could make myself watch that the whole way through! ;)

Hint, hint: if it's NOT Thomas, PLEASE don't add it to the list for the future! Heehee!!!

Sankari W. said...

Libby and Ann guys are too funnY! You won't believe it - but on the way to the beach my little daughter was singing the thomas theme song (but in her version- which i am partial to say is slightly cuter)...that's such a coincidence to mention Thomas! And Ann - you have to watch Thomas- its a classic - that's it - I am going to mail it to you :)

Ann said...

Thomas is a classic?! LMBO!

Sankari W. said...

ok - totally loving the LMBO vs. LMAO

that is hilarious!!! Well, I guess it is a classic after watching it 2300 times and knowing every line, song, whistle, puff by heart :) and it teaches morals too... can't beat that :)

still cracking up about the LMBO :)

Ann said...

Well, since we were talking about kids' movies, I didn't want to swear... thus LMBO.

Carol Dunstan said...

LOL Sam, our copy of Oz is VHS... hence I wasn't watching as I stamped it. But Princess Bride is on disc and I plan to sit down with it tonight... I'm that convinced (that really is a distinct cloud formation), though I won't start creating yet... just in case

Sam said...

Hey Carol,

I've discovered that our DVD unit caters for those ol' prehistoric VHS thingies too! So I'll be right. Might watch it after hubby has gone to bed. Let me know if you see the clouds and KNOW it is the right one...ok?

We've got Prince Charming on Channel 9 tonight so maybe I'll watch that to get into the 'zone' ;-).

Sam.

Carol Dunstan said...

ack... I'm in the middle of reorganising the dvd/video cupboard... I had to dig to the back to find it!. Moral to the story: don't let your kids put things away en masse because it's all out of it's half order and you can never find anything!!!

But yes Sam, I will try and spot those clouds. If I see that second leaf on the left, third row down, then I'll know for sure

Vicki said...

OK, I have NO CLUE what this movie is but I am anxious to do my first challenge. As for Thomas the Train...my grandson is insane over that show and at 2 1/2 years of age he can name every train in the group!! As for VHS...I'm a die hard here!! LOL! Don't know what I will do when the VCR takes a dive! LOL

Carol Dunstan said...

I'm not even 4 mins into the movie and I have orange clouds...

Carol Dunstan said...

not even 4:30 in and I have suspicious looking leaves...

Cindy said...

I am just amazed how all of you can come up with ideas from these little tiny clips... :o)

Sankari W. said...

I KNOWW!!!!!!! EVERY week!!! even when it is just pictures of SKY!!! you guys are amazing!

Laura E. said...

Princess Bride was definitely the first thing I thought of when I saw that tree, but Twister is a good guess too. I LOVE Princess Bride. Maybe I'll actually be able to play along this week, though I can make no promises. I LOVE this challenge and Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie and I didn't get to participate!
