Hmmm...not sure what that is...guess I'll need a few more peeks!

Ann said...

Now that I think about it, I wonder if the fact that "it's a BIG movie" is a clue???

So my guesses now are:
Big
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure
The Big Lebowski
James and the Giant Peach

Nellie Mae said...

....or Titanic.....

Sankari W. said...

i was waiting for someone to guess: The Panini Chronicles :)

Ann said...

LMAO! I was gonna guess "Attack of the World's Largest Slinky" though. ;)

Carol Dunstan said...

LOL, "Big" is a rather obvious guess after that hint but yeah... no idea how that image would fit! I'm thinking "BIG" is a less obvious clue, maybe clueing in towards a "blockbuster" or "epic" film... which could still be anything but I think it's a bit more modern than our last film, something from my lifetime maybe.

Jurassic Park
King Kong

hmm, they both have "big" things in them as well as being blockbusters

Indiana Jones

ok, gonna have to think about this more!

... hmmm... I'm not good at guessing, but my hubby suggested Ben-Hur or Gladiator...

Carol Dunstan said...

oooh... Giant! Random guess, lol

Love these guesses! I am off running errands with 2 little ones all afternoon (they are already slightly crabby - so this is going to be a rough afternoon out :) can't wait to check in and see what you think before the next peek!!

love to all!!

What about Wizard of OZ? I mean it doesn't have big in the title, but it was huge success.

Morning girls.....my first guess is going to be the movie where the nutty professor type dude makes toot-sweets. This popped into my head as soon as I saw the second clip. There is a super scary bad guy who kidnaps the kids in a pretend lolly van or something...what is it called?

Thinking, thinking.....Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Something about those pictures says this to me.

But then, they also remind me of Mary Poppins. Is it the colouring of the clips maybe...look kind like early colour films.

Gonna go look at them again...there is something on the tip of my tongue with that second clip, but can't think what it is. Think I've seen it somewhere...

Sam.

Carol Dunstan said...

ok, that second sneak is making it look like a b&w film! Though something like King Kong does have more than one version... ok, rethinking!

Ann said...

I was thinking Wizard of Oz, too...don't know why though. And that has both b&w AND color.

Although Sam could be right about the early color films. Hmmmm...

Sam said...

Or is that first one the top of a wagon..with the canvas cover off? So some type of western, or Little House on the Prairie (Oooh..that's the opposite of BIG..but it was only on the TV wasn't it....did they make a movie?).

It could also be the top of a cage...like the one I'm thinking the kids got kidnapped in, in Chitty Chitty. I'm trying to remember what that movie is about, but I'm drawing a blank.

Is there an old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie...for some reason I think Oooompa Loompa when I look at that second image. I think I may have gotten up a tad too early this morning, I'm obviously still asleep and hallucinating.

Sam.

Sam said...

Oh, and they say they might be slightly "tricky" so maybe there has been some photoshopping of colours going on here.

It does look like a Wizard of Oz type colour too...but can't think whic h scenes. Does an old wagon lose its canvas cover in the tornado maybe?

Sam.

Ann said...

They've been known to flip pictures, too...I want to turn my laptop sideways right now, but I'm pretty sure my students will think I'm crazy! ;)

Brooke S said...

Ann I love how you made a HUGE list!!! Hoping that you might guess at least one of them... I like "The attack of the world's largest Slinky" You are nothing but clever..."

I asked DH last night what he thought it was... He didn't know the movie yet and he guessed....

"Phenomenon"... the shapes look like the chairs that Kyra Sedgwick made and sold in the move...

I was totally impressed.. Very clever thinking I was totally impressed....

Keep up the good work girls!

Hugs
Brooke

One of these times we are going to present:
nutty professor
Titanic
and some of the other multiple guess you all guess every week!

What if we photo shopped the photo into black and white.... Hummmm...

WOW - I NEVER know -- every week the clues just seem hard to me!

Carol Dunstan said...

Ack! I'm not good at these word verifications! This is the third time I have tried to send this, I thought it had sent 2 1/2hrs ago!!!

I'm convinced it's Wizard of Oz. I've no idea what the second pic is yet, but the first pic is from Dorothy singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", Toto jumps up on to the seat of farm equipment (hay bailer?) and then Dorothy sits on it.

I suspect the second pic is from the witches lair, maybe sending off her flying monkeys.

now I just can't remember if we have this or not! If we don't it'll be at MIL's place :)

I can't believe we have guessed this so quickly!

Cindy said...

ahhhh - I can't wait to know the movie! :o)

Sankari W. said...

hello ladies - wow - these are all great guesses!! the third peek has just been posted....

can i just tell you that its never fun to cart around 2 little ones around town running errands in freezing weather!! well, at least the pantry is stocked, diapers have been stocked and there is hot cocoa on the stove!! woo-hoo!!

what do you think with the third peek?

and tracy - i am with you - if i didn't know what the movie was - i would have NO CLUE!!!

xoxoxo to all
:)

Jaimee said...

okay this one is hard!! But i am going to guess the wizard of Oz. i reckon that last pic looks a little like the flowers in the munchkin city....maybe maybe

Sam said...

Hey....munchkins are like Ooompa loompas aren't they? I think you girls are on to something!

Carol...I didn't even know what a hay baler looked like...so I went and looked it up online, and yes, the older one's do have all those thin metal tines. I can get you a nice looking second hand one for about $1000 if you are interested...call me ;-).

Sam.

Amy, Ottawa, Canada said...

Oh my, tough, tough, tough. Carol you might be right with the farm equipment in Wizard of Oz. But I'm at a loss to the other pics.

So, let me get this straight, 'Big' & 'tricky' are clues, it's a black & white film and it's a ... romance? Okay, nobody said the genre, I'm just fishing for hints. :)

Sankari W. said...

Well, I think Big is a clue... more like how Carol was thinking it

And Tricky is not really a clue - as much as it is my attempt to stump you guys :) (definitely more tricksy than last week :)

And as for the genre ... hmmmm... that I don't know...

:) Just had 2 big cups of chai! woo-hoo! Craft table here I come :)

Sankari W. said...

Actually Amy, let me correct myself -- I do know the genre...

what I don't know - is how to word it without totalllllly giving it away :)

i am starting to feel the chai kick in! :)

Carol Dunstan said...

I'm thinking the big clue is like the Wizard was big but not... he was just a man behind a curtain :)

I'm actually thinking the second pic is from the munchkin city, though the 3rd one does too, from a different angle. Also looks like it's a widescreen image squished to letterbox size, LOL.

Carol Dunstan said...

I think those tricksy girls have been getting up to some shennanigans... I reckon that last pic is the pond in the munchkin city, drained of it's colour and flipped (I decided saving the image to my harddrive and flipping it on the screen was easier than flipping my head!)!

Ann said...

Carol, I'm pretty sure Wizard of Oz is right. I hope so! My school is doing this musical right now, and I'm the choreographer...I so want to make something special for it.

Amy, Ottawa, Canada said...

Looking forward to the big reveal tomorrow. It's almost 11 pm here & I didn't have my Chai, so getting sleepy + 7 year old needs to get up at 5 am for hockey practice too. Canuks are crazy, no child should play sports before 8 am.
There's no place like bed, there's no place like bed. Night all.

Nellie Mae said...

Wow Carol, you are awesome. I think the 3rd picture is Glenda standing in flowers, it has been photo shopped to be in b&w....i think....wizard of oz....thats my guess too.

Arielle H Gordon said...

Has anyone guessed "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" yet.......?

Arielle H Gordon said...

Oh~ I just turned my laptop 90 degrees clockwise & the 3rd clue looks like a fountain to me...

Sankari W. said...

You guys!!! I am speechless!!! That's it --- that's all i am going to say - otherwise I would say tooooo much :)

There is a little component to the reveal tomorrow like last week... (not a color combo )... we hope you enjoy!!!

Off to go and create my Giant Slinky card!!!

(have I ever told you all that you are awesome???)

cause you all are!!!

LOVE YA'LL!!!

Heather "Hev" said...

I just popped over from Mels blog and I said Wizard Of Oz straight away.

Have a fabulous day :)

Hi Brooke and Sankari,
I ran out of time to complete a card for Casablanca.

I've never seen King Kong, but then some of the sneak peeks look like they have some color. I'm going to guess the Wizard of Oz.

Sankari W. said...

Welcome Heather!! Hope you join in!! And Anthonette - we would still love to see your Casablanca card - whenever you are done! All of your creations are so lovely!!

xoxoxo :)
